Grants Officer Job Vacancy at University Research Co., LLC (URC) in Uganda
University Research Co., LLC (URC), a US-based public health organization working in Uganda since 2005, is Implementing the USAID-funded SUSTAIN project. The program supports provision of quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS services at over 30 health care facilities across the country. URC is seeking qualified candidate for the following position based in Kampala
Job Summary: Work closely with the Grants team in managing grants provided to facilities supported by SUSTAIN. This includes maintaining a tracker of grantee expenditures and advances, reviewing grantees’ financial reports, building financial management capacity among grantees, ensure compliance with USAID rules and regulations, and orienting grantees on sub-grant requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Personal Attributes
· Degree in B. Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting/Finance), additional professional accounting certifications e.g. (CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
· At least 5 year’s hands-on all round experience in general financial management
· Experience in grants management and capacity building in financial management required
· Experience with USAID programs and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations necessary
· Good Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team, honest and trustworthy and flexible
