Our Client Total E&P Uganda is seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidates for the above vacancy;
Position: Geologist Job Ref: GSR601
Main Job Responsibilities:
· The ideal candidate will be required to follow-up and participate on the daily geological activities of different projects.
· He/she will be involved in the acquisition, validation, interpretation and integration of well and other exploration data as well as participate in the evaluation of prospects and fields of the nascent oil industry in the Albertine Graben.
· Excellent opportunity for young graduates with a first class or upper second class degree interested in a career in the petroleum industry
Qualifications and Experience:
· University degree in geology or equivalent.
· Some knowledge of surface and subsurface geology (mapping, structural geology).
· Basic knowledge of petroleum geology fundamentals.
· Knowledge in some specialized software is a plus (Arcgis Petrel).
· Must be ready to work in the field (field geology and / or on drilling site).
