Enterprise Development Director, Uganda
Traidlinks works to engage the Irish business community in supporting business development in Africa. Traidlinks supports companies to overcome the many obstacles to growth by providing specialist technical skills and business development expertise, identifying and ‘providing routes to market, both international and local, and focusing on sustainable transfer of skills and knowledge to provide practical support to implement good practices in all areas of the business.
Traidlinks is expanding its work in Uganda and we require an Enterprise Development Director capable of managing and accelerating this expansion. This role will have overall responsibility for the management of Traidlinks existing enterprise projects. He/she will work with the Country Director to develop and deliver a coherent, sustainable Enterprise Development strategy for Traidlinks in Uganda as well as supporting fundraising for the various programmes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
· We seek a highly motivated individual who can bring a flexible, proactive approach to the role.
· A minimum of 10 years’ management/production experience in the private sector with significant experience working in a developing country or in an emerging economy context.
· Functional skill background in Finance, Operations or Marketing would be desirable.
