Under the supervision of the Social Worker, the incumbent will perform
the following functions:

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in the mobilization and organization of GBV activities for
beneficiaries - Assists in conducting of home visits for beneficiaries.
- Assists in community dialogues and peer to peer discussions with
beneficiaries - Assists in community awareness activities for beneficiaries in the
community and schools. - Assists in the implementation of activities for the children and
supervision of children during play to safeguard their health and safety. - Assists in the supervision of children during play to safeguard their
health and safety. - Assists in providing for the physical needs of children at the centre
e.g. feeding, cleaning etc. - Assists in compilation of information about beneficiaries;
- Assists in care and maintenance of equipment, supplies, play house and
play yard. - Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education – A minimum
Secondary School certificate.

Skills and competencies:
- Computer literacy desirable
- Knowledge of refugee and human rights:
- Working experience in counseling;
- Good knowledge of Kampala and its environs;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Experience
No less than 2 years previous work experience.

Experience working in the NGO sector a plus.
Languages:
Proficiency in English a must. Knowledge or Swahili or French and
atleast one other language spoken within the refugee community.
