Job Title: Intergroup Accountant

Reporting To: Financial Controller
Job Purpose:

·         To ensure correct record and management of intergroup accounts.
·         Accurately process on a timely basis all Credit Notes/Invoices when requested and forward then to the respective stakeholders.
·         Focal point for Accounts receivable queries (interface with customer service)
·         Manage and ensure reliable the card and payroll interfaces
Principal Accountabilities:
·         Carry out Inter Group reconciliations and confirmations and ensure all discrepancies are investigated and closed out within the month.
·         Follow up payment due to and from Inter group companies as well as any other Credit notes/debit notes.
·         Run the card Interface and reconcile the card transactions
·         Monitor and follow up of overdue staff advances for recovery via payroll as well as other payroll recoveries like excess Phone usage, Fuel etc
·         Run payroll Interface and ensure monthly invoicing of costs related to regional staff and follow up payment.
·         Process requested Credit notes and Debit notes related to Accounts receivables ensuring they are properly authorised in accordance with the Manual of authorities.
·         Ensure Third Party invoices are raised as and when they are due using the correct amounts agreed in the contracts and the physical copies are sent to the customers.
·         Reconcile all allocated balance sheet accounts monthly with evidence.
·         Monitor and manage the Key Performance Indicators related to unapplied credits/cash in AR
·         Run and monitor monthly DIE in respect of monetary transactions as well as AP/AR and ensure it is correctly booked.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Educational background
·         Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, Statistics, Economics or Mathematics.
Key Competencies
·         Financial accounting
·         General Accounting
·         Time management
·         Knowledge and experience in use of accounting packages
·         Analytical Skills with hands on experience in the use of excel
·         Communication skills
