Head of Trade, Economic Policies, Lobbying and Advocacy (Job Ref JVA 00160)
Reporting to the Secretary General the jobholder’s responsibilities will be as follows:
•    Create greater awareness and sensitization of key players and the general public on the need for a favourable business environment for the Chamber’s members.
•    Develop strategies for lobbying the government and other stakeholders to create and sustain favourable business and trade policies.
•    Create, mainstream and sustain advocacy in all UNCCI departments and structures.
•    Network and co-operate with national and international players in pursuit of UNCCI’s members’ interests.
•    Carry out research on policy and trade matters so as to keep abreast of the best practices.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
•    A minimum of five years experience in business in a competitive result focused environment.
•    Proven experience in advocacy work as well as Data collection, Research, Report writing, and Documentation.
•    Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
•    A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or Economics or Business or Journalism
