Duties & Responsibilities
HelpAge seek to recruit a Finance and Support Services Manager who will be responsible for the overall maintenance of a reliable country financial accounting, system and controls for Uganda country Programme, and maintaining a financial management system that ensures accountability and integrity. He/She will lead the logistics, human resources and administration functions of HelpAge Uganda country program. He will provide financial reports, information and analyses to Uganda staff, the ECWARDC secretariat and donors and participate in strategic decision making process.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· The ideal candidate will be a CPA or AACA finalist with sound experience in financial and management accounting in an NGO setting.
· He/She will have experience in working with international donors, providing support and guidance to financial and non-financial managers and coordinating multiple departments.
· In-depth understanding of electronic communication systems and methods, knowledge and experience of operating computerised accounting systems, managing and developing staff as well as analytical skills are essential to this role.
