Position: Gulu
Job Purpose: The Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager and the Deputy Country Director in managing the finances of the Gulu Office.
Support the Country Finance Manager in effectively managing the budget of the Gulu field office, to ensure accuracy and that the Deputy Country Director is informed of the financial position of each project.
B. Financial Support and control:
Be responsible for financial matters in the Gulu Office, reviewing purchase requisitions, invoices and processing payments and data entry.
C. Grants Management:
• Support to the Finance Manager to manage the partner/donor reporting timetables for the Northern Uganda programmes and ensure reports are produced in a timely manner.
• Support the Finance Manager to produce high quality monthly management reports for the Country Director and the London based finance team, advising on any variances.
• Report internally and externally where appropriate.
- Degree in Accounting, finance or related degree.
- Part qualified professional Accountant, with at least 3 years experience.
- Knowledge of financial planning, internal controls, and payroll processing and taxation will be an added advantage.
