Our client, MCash Uganda, a Financial Management Solutions service provider seeks to recruit a qualified competent individual for the following job position.
Job Title: Finance Manager
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer.
Job Purpose: To manage all financial and fiscal aspects of the company operations.
This will include providing leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, finance, forecasting, job costing and budgeting efforts of the company.
· Support local and international operations in financial and strategic business planning so as to enhance financial performance and business opportunities. Manage the development of continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives.
· Ensure credibility of the company finances by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
· Ensure that effective internal controls and compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting are in place.
· Approve business expenditure presented by business procurement committee in line with the approved budget.
· Ensure timely and accurate accounting records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
· Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures to meet both current and future business models.
· Oversee the internal and external audit, review and analyze results and recommend for approval the audited financial statements.
· Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
· Manage and develop the finance and accounting team, including resourcing, performance appraisal, mentoring and coaching.
· Degree in finance or Accounting from a recognised University
· A Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
· Experience:
· Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a financial or accounting managerial role in either the telecommunications or financial services sector.
