Position: Finance & Donor Accountant

The Role
We require a Donor Accountant to join the Finance team. Working closely with the Country Finance Systems Manager,
We require a Donor Accountant to join the Finance team. Working closely with the Country Finance Systems Manager,
o You will review the finance strategy and support its implementation, ensure that that donor requirements, policies and procedures are met across the country programme;
o Provide leadership and guidance in developing donor budget proposals;
o Closely monitor donor reporting schedules and the programme business cycles to ensure timely and accurate financial donor reporting;
o Develop best practices in donor funding monitoring and management;
o Work closely with the Funding Coordinator to support and maintain the restricted funds grip and allocation to projects as well as support finance, Partners and programme teams in understanding essentials in donor contract management.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
o The person we are looking for will have a graduate degree or equivalent professional qualification in the relevant field preferably ACCA or CPA, at least 3 years experience in a similar role;
o Working with a multi-donor portfolio, proven experience in dealing with large budgets; ability to work effectively with others is essential as well effective verbal and written communication skills.
o You will have excellent computer skills for word processing, and spreadsheets.
