Main Responsibility
The Agro Pastoral Field School Facilitator will be responsible for the implementation of the curriculum of the APFS extension approach and other activities related to quality trainings for agro pastoral groups on modern pastoral and agric practices. S/he is to make sure that the project is implemented according to agreed plans and to the set standards of the organization at a parish level of the designated sub-county. S/he will be based in the parish of designation.

Job description:
· Carry out sensitizations on APFS implementation approach with the community members and the local authorities.
· Guide the identified beneficiaries through the APFS formalization process, i.e. establishing the APFS, leadership structure, constitutions, bye laws, registration with the community development office and opening bank accounts.
· Facilitate timely establishment and management of study plots, multiplication gardens and commercial enterprises by APFS groups.
· Monitor the APFS groups to higher level of farmers organizations like APFS Networks and build their managerial and entrepreneurial skills to enable them become self reliant.
· Organize field days as an integral component of the APFS learning process.
· Plan and organize graduation ceremonies of APFS group members who have actively participated in the APFS process to the end and liaise with community/sub-county/district leaders to witness this process.
· Write and submit comprehensive weekly progress reports and any other reports to your supervisor in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience and Requirements:
· Diploma or Level II certificate in Agriculture from a recognized institution.
· Experience in implementing Agro Pastoralist Field Schools is an advantage.

· Good communication, writing and facilitation skills
· Good command of English. Knowledge of Swahili and Pokot is an added advantage

· Willingness to live and work in remote area
· Willingness and the ability to ride a bicycle is strongly required
