Agro Pastoral Field School Coordinators – ZOA Uganda

Position: Agro Pastoral Field School Coordinator (2 Vacant Posts)
Duty station: Amudat District
Starting Date: ASAP
Duties & Responsibilities:
·         The Coordinator plans and implements activities together with the manager and Agro Pastoral Field School facilitators the APFS project
·         The Coordinator ensures monitoring and reporting of the project in line with donor requirements
·         The Coordinator oversees APFS Facilitators and ensures correct implementation of the APFS approach in the field
·         Motivates and stimulates APFS facilitators on working and living in the communities of the project.
·         Main project components sensitization and formation of farmer groups, extension work according the APFS approach in post conflict settings.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         Proven knowledge of the APFS approach; having worked as APFS Facilitator , good management, planning, communication, facilitation skills
·         Excellent command of English
·         Inventive, creative and enthusiastic person
·         Willingness to live and work in a Amudat district
·         Degree or Diploma in Agric, extension other relevant field
·         At least 3 years successful experience in APFS projects as facilitator or coordinator
·         Good computer skills,
·         Self motivator, having the ability to work with limited supervision
·         Experienced in Motorcycle driving and having valid MC driving permit
·         Knowledge of Swahili and Pokot is an advantage
