International Ltd – Uganda Branch a leading Logistics Company in the DHL Group is
seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidate for the position of:

Accountant ( 1 Post)
Reporting to the Finance Manager – Uganda

The successful applicant will be based in Kampala and will be
accountable for the following duties:

·        
Monthly financial reporting and
interpretation of results including variance analysis.

·        
Ensuring that the company
complies with tax/tax related issues according to the Uganda laws and
communicate all tax issues to head office. This is in conjunction with Finance
Manager.

·        
Filling tax returns to URA and
ensure that tax receipts are collected and kept safely.

·        
Oversee the Uganda debtor’s collections and suppliers
payments and ensure timeliness of collections and payments.

·        
Oversee clients invoicing and
ensure all jobs done are billed.

·        
Ensure that all the transactions
are posted correctly in the general ledger.

·        
Monitor and ensure compliance to
accounts processes and procedures.(SOP)

·        
Consolidate budgets for different
contracts and ensure capex items in the budgets are purchased as per prescribed
procedures.

·        
Maintain a Uganda local assets
list.

 

Qualifications, Skills &
Experience:

This position calls for a person
with the following qualifications & Skills;

·        
University Degree in Commerce,
Statistics, Economics or any related disciplines.

·        
Professional Qualification – ACCA or CPA

·        
Good understanding of costing and
general accounting

·        
3 years relevant experience in
finance at management level

·        
Good numerical and analytical.

·        
Work experience in FMCG industry
will be an added advantage
