Job Purpose: Will be
required to assist the surgical teams during safe MMC procedures and to provide
quality nursing care .He/ she must treat each client with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgical teams during
    MMC procedures.
  • Provide nursing care to clients
    attending the clinics 
  • Assess clinical patient problems
  • Cleaning, disinfecting and
    packing surgical instruments 
  • Treat each client with dignity, respect and
    understanding in accordance with IDI’s philosophy 
  • Maintain nursing records as
    required cognizant of the standard ethical requirements.
  • Ensure procedures are carried
    out safely in accordance with agreed policies Participates as a full member of
    the expanded AMAKA interdisciplinary team Education
  • Preferably completion of a
    registered Nurses Training from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of two years work experience in a clinical and surgical setting 
  • Additional training in HIV/AIDS will be an added advantage
  • Experience working in a surgical theatre setting is an added advantage
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with clients in local language 
  • Knowledge and
    understanding of HIV/AIDS related

  • Knowledge of good nursing procedures, practices and ethics

  • Ability to in a multidisciplinary team
