telecommunication and broadcast infrastructure and has the largest portfolio in
Uganda with nearly 1,000 towers and rooftops across the country, and over 45,000

Job Title: Account Director
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a long-term strategic
    relationship with assigned major accounts;
  • Secure strategic sales opportunities
    that drive profitable revenue growth;
  • Lead a virtual team by developing
    and executing an account level business plan, driving an executive level
    contact plan, and ensuring effective cross-functional communication;
  • Develop a deep understanding of the
    ‘ customer’s’ business and their decision making processes to close
    profitable deals that create value for the customer;
  • Understand long-term
    telecommunication objectives to help identify and recommend future
    infrastructure requirements;
  • Provide feedback to senior
    management on market trends and competitor activities relevant to sales
    and marketing activities.
Qualification and
experience specifications
The successful
candidate must have:
  • University degree and/or
    equivalent level of education
  • A minimum eight years in sales or
    sales management with a proven track record of managing a significant
    revenue stream and developing business with large enterprises;
  • A track record of success selling
    at the executive level.
  • Well developed presentation and
    problem solving skills to help solve customer issues;
  • A detailed understanding of the
    dynamics within carrier accounts with the ability to formulate effective
    win-win strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively across
    all internal functional groups to resolve issues and close new business.
  • Skilled negotiator, able to take
    direction or resolve issues independently.
  • The ability to consistently
    generate new sales opportunities to grow profitable revenue.
  • The position reports to the
    Director of Sales and Marketing.
