ActionAid is an
International Development Agency working in over 50 countries in Africa, Asia,

injustices and the inequity that cause it. ActionAid Uganda seeks to recruit
competent persons to fill the vacancies below;
Program Coordinators (02)
Reports to: Program Development Manager
Location: Masindi and Pader
Job Role: To provide overall leadership and
supervision in planning and implementation of programs and sponsorship
activities within the Local Rights Program in line with the Country ‘ Strategy
Paper.
Key Result Areas
i. Provide Leadership in the planning, implementation, and reporting on the
performance of the Local Rights Program Strategy and Plans in accordance with
the Country Strategic Paper and organizational policies.
ii. Monitor adherence to organizational policies, manage organizational
resources and ensure compliance of staffs and partners to systems, policies and
procedures.
iii. Identify funding gaps within Local Rights Programs, develop fundraising
plans and mobilize resources in line with Local Rights Program and Country
Strategic Paper Strategies.
iv. Supervise, motivate, appraise staff and build the capacity of staff and
partners in line with the Human Resource Policy and other organizational
policies and procedures
v. Mobilize , coordinate and support the building and strengthening of
networks, coalitions, and relationships with stakeholders at Local Rights
Program levels
vi. Plan, coordinate and implement child sponsorship activities within the
Local Rights Program in line with Sponsorship Policy and communication
guidelines.
vii. Plan and Coordinate monitoring and evaluation activities in the Local
Rights Program and provide periodic reports on the program work
viii. Plan and provide technical support to partners and communities in program
Implementation and documentation of models and best practices for shared
learning in line with Accountability Learning & Planning Systems.________
ix. Identify thematic-.-and programme knowledge needs for the Local Rights
Program and its partners, coordinate the generation, storage and access to
knowledge in line with the AAIU Strategy
x. Any other relevant duty as may be assigned by the line manager.
Qualification and Experience:
• A minimum of an Honours Degree in Development studies or relevant social
science discipline from a recognized institution.
• A relevant post graduate qualification and training in human rights based
approaches, project planning and management is an added advantage.
• At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience from a recognized
institution/organization.

• Gender and Poverty analysis Human Rights Based approach.
• Policy analysis and advocacy. Planning,  monitoring and evaluation.
• Documentation and reporting Resource mobilization
• Participatory approaches Financial management
• Good interpersonal skills
• People Management and team work
